"Miss Natasha, I'm all stretched out". This is a quote from one of my 6 year-old former clients, and it is a quote that I refer to often. As adults, we sometimes think that children need not be stressed because they have everything they could possibly need/want--all with the added benefit of not having to pay bills.
The truth is, children get "stretched out". Be it dealing with the challenges they face in just growing up, battling social anxieties and expectations, or simply not knowing how to "be". As stressful as life can be for an adult, so too can it be "stretchful" for a child.
Therapy at HopeMor can assist your child with understanding their thoughts & emotions, and how their thoughts & emotions influence and impact their behaviors. Therapy will assist them with learning how to appropriately express their emotions, verbalize their feelings, and apply coping skills to navigating life challenges.
